During the days from the 11th to the 14th of September we will have the realization of the first frontal learning module planned for the Romunicare project. This first educational module is aimed at providing the basic knowledge about the non-discrimination principle, reconstructing the historic and legislative path through which it has acquired its current structure in the international, European and national legislation. The course, which will last from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will be organized with 4 educational stages: 1. The reference scope: the Roma people between prejudices and discriminations; 2. Genesis and development of the non-discrimination principles; 3. The non-discrimination principle in the European Union and its transposition within the member countries; 4. Non-discrimination and integration of minorities in the Italian legislation. The main recipients of this educational module will be the operators of the 15 Municipalities of Rome and of the NGOs involved in social assistance activities towards the Roma community. The educational activity will take place at the Department of Social Policies, Subsidiarity and Health of the administration of Rome (situated in Viale Manzoni 16).
