Educational Training

In order to achieve the goal of strengthening the inclusion and social integration of the Roma community, an educational course will take place, combining frontal and mutual learning interventions. The recipients of this activity will be both the operators of the 15 Municipalities of Rome and of the NGOs, and also the Roma community present in the informal camps. In the implementation of the frontal interventions, the priority purpose will be that of strengthening the knowledge and awareness regarding the rights connected with citizenship and the non-discrimination, taking into consideration national and EU regulations; increasing the technical know-how by selecting the best practices; supporting the Roma through a path towards the learning of rights, duties, and of the services available to them. For this educational course, the choice of accessing also a mutual learning model comes from the awareness of its capability of reducing conditions of social conflict and creating opportunities for a shared action. The active involvement of all participants indeed contribute to creating a favourable environment for the mutual cooperation of individuals, leading to a situation of reduction of the mutual prejudices between Roma and non-Roma.
