The same differences that make us unique keep us apart from each other.
When we divide people in groups, we often judge them using stereotypes, simplified ideas of reality which lead us to prejudices and lead us to treat them in an unfair manner. This happens because stereotypes reassure us, they make us believe we already know whom we are dealing with, thus making our life easy. But when we make use of these twisted ideas of reality we become guilty of self-creating the things we fear the most. “Treat human beings for what they are, and they will remain as they are. Treat them for what they could and ought to be, and they will become what they could and ought to be”. Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
